Ilaveezha poonchira is a hill station in the border of Kottayam and Idukki. It is not a place that a lot of people know of.
Reaching there requires negotiating with rough terrains.
That is a task better done by jeeps. Well, people leave their vehicles and hire a jeep, to reach the hill top.
Not a great place to have a flat tyre, isn't it?
Ilaveezha pooncira (also Elaveezha poonchira) is a place of great panoramic views. You can see vast areas of several districts from the top.
Unlike Munnar, there are no tea gardens. See what they have instead-
Most people do day trips to Elaveezha poonchira. Overnight stay atop the hill is also possible.
